The 2019 Frivolo is a light, refreshing Moscato wine with a slight spritz, patterned after an Italian Moscato d’Asti. In the Piemonte region of Italy, it is used as a refreshing aperitif. This unique style of Moscato is produced from a blend of mostly moscato bianco plus some orange muscat. The grapes were sourced from several northern California vineyards.

The 2019 Pinot Grigio was produced from the Sloughhouse AVA, Lodi region near the Sacramento River Delta. This proximity to the Delta brings temperate weather for Northern California, moderated by wind and fog from the San Francisco Bay. Fruit-packed, easy-drinking, dry, aromatic, and crisp, this 100% Pinot Grigio is a well-known Italian varietal popular throughout California.

Rosso is a bolder, fruitier red than our lineup of Sangioveses. This Lot of our Rosso Tuscan Red Blend is a juicy combination of 64% Zinfandel (from Dillian and the Original Grandpère Vineyard), 27% Barbera, 5% Aglianico, and 1% each of Petite Sirah, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Cao, and Touriga Nacional.

Elegant, almost delicate, this complex and inviting Sangiovese is medium bodied, well balanced and offers subtle flavors that weave nicely through a supple and lightly firm texture. It has dried cherry and cranberry aromas, tangy fruit flavors and fine-grained tannins.

Very limited.  Only 41 cases produced!

This has to be one of the rarest wines in the world!  Sangiovese is red; so, getting a world-class white wine from these grapes takes some skill. We hand-pick some of the best looking bunches into very shallow bins so our thin-skinned grapes don't burst and begin making rosé.  We then gently, gently press those gorgeous bunches and pull the pale free-run juice into barrels.

For more than a year, we let our Bianco develop and evolve.  It is redolent of lime and mandarin zest, apricots, white nectarines, hazelnuts, green almonds, and even saffron.  Our Bianco is crisp and acid-driven like a well-made Sauvignon Blanc, but with a bit more weight and richness.

Pairing suggestions: fish & chips, cucumber & feta, fresh pasta & sage, crab/avocado salad, or chicken kebabs.  Maybe fish tacos with a tropical salsa made of pineapple and cilantro.  How about the classic Roman pizza made from potatoes and rosemary? Stomach growling yet?

This is the vineyard that started Vino Noceto and is still the source of some of our most profound and ageable Sangioveses.  With formidable structure, reserved fruit, and pronounced, savory notes of leather, cedar, and clay, it is usually the first Single Block to sell out.  100% Sangiovese Grosso.

The story?  Dos Oakies comes from the oldest portion of our vineyard, planted in 1987, between the tall, thin oak and the now-departed short, stout oak.  Grapes for this selection were originally sourced from Il Poggione in Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy.

If Dos Oakies is King, Marmellata is Queen.  Richer, more opulent fruit wafts from the glass, mingling with notes of chocolate, baking spice, coffee, and vanilla.  Marmellata is known for being our jammiest Sangiovese, with a beautiful velvet mouth-feel.  Grapes for this selection were originally sourced from Biondi Santi in Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy.  This wine is a perennial favorite for our Big Nut club members, and it rivals Dos Oakies as the first to sell out.  100% Sangiovese Grosso.

No Single Block has evolved over the years as much as Hillside.  This is a wine that has "grown up" with every consecutive vintage.  It was our 2015 Hillside that so impressed the judges at the California State Fair, they awarded it "Best Sangiovese in California."

The 2017 Hillside is elegant, with overtones of sweet oak.  This Sangiovese is 100% Sangiovese Piccolo coming from the hillside on our ranch-house parcel and our neighbors at Reward Ranch. Sangiovese grapes for this selection were originally sourced from Isole e Olena in Chianti, Tuscany, Italy.

A true taste of the past.  Our Misto is made in the traditional Chianti style - a field blend of our estate-grown fruit: Sangiovese, Canaiolo Nero, Malvasia, and Trebbiano.  The white grapes in the blend give the wine unmistakable notes of citrus and tropical fruit - a unique litheness the other Blocks don't have.  Misto is a staff-favorite because of its unique flavor profile and depth.

"Nicely concentrated and ripe-tasting, this full-bodied wine is a standout. It shows great structure, wrapping good acidity and fine-grained tannins around red-cherry, raspberry, earth and new leather flavors. It's already been aging in the winery cellar, but should keep developing through 2024."

Teroldego, a richly colored, esoteric grape, hails originally from the Noce River basin at the foot of the Italian Alps.  Our Noce di Noce tastes of crushed berries, with a touch of earth and black pepper and a snappy acidity.  Full-bodied but light on its feet.  Try with Carbonara!
