Frau Schmitter's Berliner-Style Holiday Gluhwein
- 2 bottles of Noceto Sangiovese
- 1 bottle of Frivolo
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 7 slices lemon
- 20 cloves
- 2 sticks of cinnamon
Stick 3 cloves in the rind of each lemon slice. Add sugar, lemon slices with cloves, and cinnamon sticks to Sangiovese & Frivolo. Heat to a simmer, but do not boil; stir occasionally until sugar is dissolved.
Allow at least 20 minutes for the glühwein to absorb the lemon, clove, and cinnamon flavors. Serve hot and enjoy!
