Frau Schmitter's Berliner-Style Holiday Gluhwein

A warm mixture of cinnamon, cloves, lemon, and Frivolo. The perfect holiday treat.
Ingredients
  • 2 bottles of Noceto Sangiovese
  • 1 bottle of Frivolo
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 7 slices lemon
  • 20 cloves
  • 2 sticks of cinnamon
Directions

Stick 3 cloves in the rind of each lemon slice. Add sugar, lemon slices with cloves, and cinnamon sticks to Sangiovese & Frivolo. Heat to a simmer, but do not boil; stir occasionally until sugar is dissolved.

Allow at least 20 minutes for the glühwein to absorb the lemon, clove, and cinnamon flavors. Serve hot and enjoy!
