2019 Trebbiano
Our newest wine!

The first vintage of our estate-grown Trebbiano proves our pioneering spirit is alive and well! Trebbiano has been co-fermented with Sangiovese to create our Misto for years; today, we are excited to finally give this grape the spotlight. This first vintage was made on a whim from the extra Trebbiano we picked. Rusty wanted to see how it would do when we let it ferment in its own barrel.
The results are enchanting! On the nose, there are notes of apricots, white peaches, mango, hazelnuts, and even vanilla custard. Sur lie aging and barrel fermentation lend a really lovely textural richness to every sip. On the palate, there is the slightly green, nutty flavor of young almonds, hazelnuts, dried apricots, fresh sage leaves gently slapped, and a creamy, lemon-vanilla-custardy note in the background. The acidity is bold enough to keep this wine refreshing, elegant, and engaging.
Don't drink this too cold! Be sure to give it time in the glass to open up and delight. We encourage you to experiment with different food pairings and drinking temperatures. This is our first salvo and each vintage may change slightly as we find our groove. Feedback is appreciated!
2 barrels produced. Second vintage is coming summer 2021.
